Dr. Megan Dundas DVM

Megan Dundas, DVM

Veterinarian

Dr. Megan Dundas is proud to be a certified Fear Free practitioner: Fear Free training gives her the tools to alleviate animals’ stress and anxiety during office visits. It’s also handy when she’s with her own pets, including a deaf Boxer dog and a couple of (formerly) stray cats that she bottle-fed when they were kittens and then adopted.

A collection of animals is nothing new for Dr. Dundas, who lived in Westchester as a young child before moving upstate to a dairy-farming community near the Adirondacks. There, she was surrounded by animals: from the cows that outnumbered the people, to the critters she found in the woods (and sometimes brought home).

Veterinary medicine was her calling from an early age. She received degrees in anthropology and biology before earning her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at Western University of Health Sciences in Pomona, California, where she was inducted into Phi Zeta, the veterinary honor society. She practiced at Rhinebeck Animal Hospital in Dutchess County before returning to Westchester to buy Lincolndale Veterinary Center.

Some areas of veterinary medicine Dr. Dundas specializes in are: dentistry, soft tissue surgery, and infectious disease. Most of all she likes getting to know pets and their owners, helping animals live happy, healthy lives.

Outside of work Dr. Dundas enjoys fishing, biking and exploring the outdoors with her family. She also likes to visit various museums and eateries in NYC and the surrounding area.

Bonnie

Bonnie, LVT

Lead Licensed Veterinary Technician

Bonnie’s career with animals has taken her on a remarkable journey: from managing a dairy goat herd and hatching horseshoe crab eggs to training nurse sharks and caring for wombats, cassowaries, and crocodiles as a volunteer zookeeper. Licensed as an LVT in New York since 2019, she now channels that diverse experience into leading our veterinary technician team. A Connecticut native, Bonnie is also a passionate naturalist who can identify just about any plant you point to. When she’s not at the clinic, you’ll find her hiking with her husband Lincoln and their two boys, George and Jenson.

Adam

Adam

Veterinary Technician

Adam has spent over five years in the veterinary field, starting in emergency practice before finding his home at LVC, where he has taken on a wide range of roles with a particular interest in surgery. A lifelong animal lover and vegan of nearly a decade, he is passionate about creating a calm, positive experience for every pet that comes through the door. Adam’s spirit animal is David Greybeard (the first chimpanzee Jane Goodall observed up close in Gombe in 1960) and he is committed enough to the choice to have a photorealistic portrait of him tattooed on his arm. Outside of work, Adam is a competitive disc golfer who spends most weekends at tournaments, a devoted Mets fan, and — perhaps most impressively — the former #6-ranked Connect Four player in the world.

Ela

Ela

Veterinary Assistant

Ela came to LVC with a background you might not expect: she spent years coaching softball clinics for elementary-school girls and working at a baseball facility, all while shadowing a veterinarian every summer during college. That combination of a love for science and a drive to help others led her to veterinary medicine, where she finds real satisfaction in watching a sick patient bounce back to health. At home, Ela is outnumbered by her three boy cats: Mojito (her “biological son”), and adopted brothers Monster and Stinky. She’s also a skilled pickleball player once the weather warms up, and if she weren’t in vet med, she just might be solving cases as a forensic scientist.

Diego

Diego

Veterinary Assistant

Diego grew up working on a farm in Guatemala with cows and horses, and that early connection to animals set the course for his career. As a veterinary assistant at LVC, he is dedicated to bringing comfort and joy to both pets and their owners. Diego is also currently working part-time at Guardian Veterinary Specialists, building a strong clinical foundation across settings. At home, he’s the proud owner of Santiago, a young Beagle, and Rocky, a seasoned 14-year-old Pomeranian. Beyond the clinic, Diego is an avid soccer player, gym-goer, and a formidable Elden Ring competitor. This August, he will be leaving LVC to join Cornell’s College of Veterinary Medicine as part of the Class of 2030, pursuing his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.

River

River

Veterinary Assistant

River grew up in Pawling, New York, in a household that always had at least three animals at any given time, and credits childhood heroes like the Kratt Brothers and Steve Irwin for sparking a lifelong fascination with wildlife. Before joining LVC, he honed his skills at multiple dog daycare and boarding facilities, managing everything from feedings to play groups. What he finds most rewarding is treating animals and giving their families reassurance that their pets are in good hands. River’s spirit animal is the crow: intelligent, loyal, and not one to forget a grudge. When he’s not at the clinic, you’ll find him hiking, gardening, fishing, or skipping rocks on the nearest body of water.

Jessica

Jessica

Client Service Representative

With over 15 years in the veterinary field, Jessica is a welcoming presence at our front desk. A Brooklyn native, she has built her career around a deep love for animals (especially dogs) and a genuine passion for connecting with the clients who walk through our doors. Jessica and her husband are enthusiastic travelers, and a trip across Europe tops her bucket list. When she’s not greeting patients and their families, you might find her rewatching her favorite film, the ’80s classic Pretty in Pink. She describes her spirit animal as a Pomeranian, which tells you everything you need to know about her warm and lively personality.

Ela

Ella

Remote Client Service Representative & Registered Veterinary Nurse

Though she works from home, Ella brings a wealth of international veterinary experience to our team. Originally from Bloemfontein, South Africa, she worked as a general nurse in several animal hospitals, assisting with surgery and medicine cases spanning exotic, small, and large animals. Her sensitivity to animals and love of science led her naturally to veterinary medicine, and she takes pride in knowing that every pet she helps is getting the best possible care. Outside the clinic, Ella is a talented artist and seamstress who learned to paint from her father and grandfather. She and her husband Timmy are expecting a baby girl, and at home they share their lives with two Weimaraners, Chief and Arraceli, and two cats, Olhu and Vellies.

Courtney

Courtney

Remote Client Service Representative

Courtney works with us remotely from Cape Town, South Africa, which means she is, quite literally, helping your pets from the other side of the world. She got her start at Panorama Veterinary Hospital and Specialty Centre, one of the largest and busiest practices in the country, and she loved every bit of it: the emergencies, the calls, and the clients. At home she lives with her partner and Pablo, a rescued Pitbull/Staffie mix she describes as one of the most spoiled dogs in existence. When she’s not working, she’s at the beach, on a horse, or on the couch with Pablo and a good series — hot chocolate mandatory.

Alex

Practice Manager

Before joining Lincolndale Veterinary Center, Alex had a long career as a nonfiction TV writer and producer, followed by a stint in corporate communications. He started helping out at LVC on day one, and as the practice grew so did his role, until he finally came on full-time to keep everything running behind the scenes. An avid cook who has worked in kitchens, produced cooking shows, and ghostwritten celebrity cookbooks, Alex is also a volunteer firefighter with the Somers Fire Department. He may be the only one at LVC not wearing scrubs, but he loves getting on the floor to say hello to your pets just as much as everyone else.
